Pros

seeing the kids everyday and being able to teach and nurture them

Cons

First of all, the pay is minimum wage and they are not willing to give anyone a raise even if they go above and beyond and have been there for some time. another reviewer said that they like the revolving door of young kids as staff so that they can pay them next to nothing and they dont know any better. i cannot have said this any better. they are not willing to pay the money to keep the good teachers around, so they are constantly losing great teachers and replacing them with someone that will quit / get fired / not show up to their shift. I was told that you have to love the job so much that the pay doesn't matter. a bunch of staff have second jobs because this job isnt cutting it. You are required to get 20 hours of training outside of work but they dont pay you for those hours, they dont pay you for coming to staff meetings, and also ecpect you to write lesson plans on your time off (not getting paid for that). also they never give you overtime. if you stay late for them as a favor they tell you take an extra long break or to leave early another day so that you wont ever get overtime. constantly understaffed and scrambling kids around to remain at ratio. management talk behind your back and are very gossipy. overall a very toxic environment to work in.

Pros

Some excellent teachers you work with

Cons

So incredibly mismanaged and ignored by owners. The problems at Dreamland will never be fixed until they take the time to invest in their employees and their facility. Constantly wasting money on unnecessary items like a $1000 giraffe that rots in the parking lot, but will not give employees who have worked there for 4 years a raise. Or any kind of benefits. They rely on a revolving door or uninformed young workers who wont question the many illegal activities that go on there. It could be a great place but the owners are obviously not interested in that. Which is such a shame.
