Pros

Nice campus! Dedicated staff, at least those left after more than 50 layoffs in a calendar year! Students are there too! Um, nice campus?

Cons

As all other non-lifeguard or student tutor reviews state, all money flows upwards at Drew, directly into President Baenninger's checking account. Endowment has dropped by nearly $100mm, staff has been cut beyond the bone, donations have dried up, and yet the president's salary increases yearly, now up to approximately $600,000. To give you an idea as to how out of place that is in Drew's budget, the school received about $700,000 in interest last year from its endowment. So they spend 85% of their ENTIRE ENDOWMENT INTEREST on the president's salary. Think about that. More than 150 years worth of donations to the school are producing barely enough money to pay the President's salary. Don't despair, though! President Baenninger can use the money she's saving by laying off dozens and dozens of loyal employees and on not giving raises or cost of living increases for years to put gas in her new BMW for her trips between her house in Pennsylvania and Madison for the two days a week she graces the campus with her presence.

Pros

Some very dedicated, bright faculty and staff

Cons

No raises for 7 of 8 years unless you are President, Cabinet, or President's staff. Extremely low morale. Reduction in force and reorganizations. Largest school deficits in history. Inability to meet enrollment targets. Dated, run-down campus. Ineffective leadership with inability to meet goals. Revolving door for senior leadership. School stinks of desperation.

Pros

Nice setting, good students and academics.

Cons

The top Management including the President, CFO, and some Vice President's have both culturally and financially damaged the University. The finances are in very poor condition, draining the endowment, excessive spending. No improvement in the 3-4 years they have been here. Staff moral is at an all time low, employee retention is abysmal with many leaving or getting laid off. No raises for years (except for the chosen few). It appears the President and CFO received raises while they were laying people off and the school is losing money. Can't speak for the academics, but from a staff standpoint, it is a very poor place to work. Change at the top is desperately needed.
