Pros

Great concept, good pay, minimum flexibility

Cons

CEO#3 created a toxic work environment during anyone who she didn’t hire, including the people who created the concepts. A culture of exclusion, non diversity was created and it terrified most people. CEO needs to be replaced to return the. Know how back to where it was. Also there was no HR team to assist with transition or employee relations. CEO relies too heavily on an operations manager to run the company cross functionally. Not working.

Drive Shack Response
4y
Thank you for your feedback. The pandemic certainly impacted our business operations throughout 2020. It has been tough period for many hospitality companies, including DriveShack. We have spent much of 2021, particularly in Q-3, rebuilding our support disciplines to ensure we focus on our most important resource.... our people. Thank you again for sharing,

Pros

Pay, some benefits are very good.

Cons

Culturally, you couldn't imagine a more terrible place. They do not have enough money to pay their bills. The CEO made all of these cuts and only kept her unqualified friends. The new HR is a disaster, the CEO is cruel and unapproachable who makes it her life's mission to avoid any type of feedback or tough conversation. Rumor is the CEO is looking for a new position, based on her shameless self promotion on LinkedIn, she may be but no other industry will touch her because of her lack of experience and vindictive nature

Easy work, awful company

Pros

Easy work, decent pay, friendly coworkers, flexible schedule

Cons

Awful company, awful CEO. Very poorly run. Company is involved in multiple lawsuits and investigations. It feels like the CEO just throws darts at a board when deciding what to do next with the business. The company is on a major decline and it doesn't seem like the CEO cares. Directly after making major changes to the company that cut our profits in half, the CEO did a visit to our location, walked around for maybe five minutes while talking on his phone, and left without saying anything. If you decide to work here, you will most likely be searching for another job within a year. I've watched positions and hours get cut, as well as wages get decreased, resulting in understaffing. No benefits if you're not full time. At least two weekend days are required in your availability, making it difficult to get a second job (which is needed if you work here.) Every previous employee I've spoken with has agreed that they would return to the company if upper management did a better job.

Pros

NY office location is convenient

Cons

No work-life balance, no bonuses, no salary increases, hostile work environment, CEO is incompetent and petty. Also, if you're white and kiss the CEO & CFO & General Counsel's behind.... you will probably do OK. Not a fun place for people of color.
