      Once in a lifetime

      Pros

      Great product Big challenges Fantastic culture (#dropfam) Awesome location Good leadership Lifelong friendships This place was firing on all cylinders. Everyone worked brilliantly to get it big projects to the goal line. It was the kind of team that could complete each other's thoughts. Communication was efficient, needless meetings were nonexistent, and we achieved big things with big smiles on our faces while maintaining work-life balance. So many of us considered this our dream job and gave it all our energy and would have worked here for life.

      Cons

      None until now. Everything we built is being carelessly dismantled by after acquisition. Dropcam is dead.

      Pros

      Dropcam was the best company to work for ever. Accountability for work and passion to excellence was the norm because everyone loved working there. Dropcam cultivated a work environment that encouraged all of it's constituents to be contributors of the ideal workplace environment. And as if the awesome perks (helicopter rides, awesome food, enviable work-life balance, an office in the heart of the greatest city in the continental US...) weren't enough, the dropcam product is unparalleled in quality and at the heart of its value is customer satisfaction, so Dropcam was definitely a product that one would be proud to represent and stand behind.

      This was my favorite job and company to work for --- ever. the people, the business, the culture--everything was perfect.

      Nest. They are killing everything that was special about working at Dropcam.
