Good job security, decent pay compared to many industries, strong driving experience, interaction with the public, and good camaraderie among many fellow drivers. Pension and benefits are better than many private sector driving jobs.

Cons

Shift patterns can have a major impact on work life balance and sleep. In my experience, morale among drivers is often low. There can be a culture of micromanagement, and many staff feel unappreciated despite carrying significant responsibility for passenger safety. Communication between frontline staff and management can sometimes feel disconnected, and operational pressures can create a stressful working environment.
