Pros

Learning new things. Us consultants helped each other

Cons

They treat staff as disposable objects. I was hired only earlier this year with so many promises. There was no work just ended up sat on the bench. Forced to invent work and non projects. They then fired everyone stating 'poor performance' to avoid paying redundancy. Some people got lucky and got out quick. But for some of us who got trapped now having a dismissal on CV made job hunting so hard. Disgusting company would do this to peoples careers. Ceo all fake, only interested in speaking at dinners and growing his own brand. Company is a toy. If they start hiring again and they will I hope people see the real reviews here and avoid

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear about the challenges you faced. We are working on refining our project allocation process and ensuring clear communication regarding performance expectations. In July 2024 we are launching a new career framework for consultancy that will outline career choices that our consultants can undertake in the company. This will provide clarity including skills needed for progression and building vital experience. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please contact our People team.

Pros

Amazing colleagues, good team culture. Good socials. Udemy access.

Cons

The business is utterly disorganised. There is a serious lack of communication from the management team, and the CEO frequently delays company-wide conversations. This year, there was no bonus payout, and the communications were released a few weeks before we were supposed to get it. Raises are practically unheard of. Also, earlier in the year, they hired a significant amount of people without contracts to place them, resulting on huge bench, and then management had to "fire people that were underperforming", however, some senior managers were hired as people were being laid off. Also, expect to be assigned to contracts that are absolutely outside of your area of expertise.

Thank you for your feedback and for being part of our team. We’re pleased that you find our team culture and Udemy access positive. We acknowledge the concerns about communication and the hiring process. We have taken steps to improve our communication strategy and ensure timely updates. Consequently we now undertake more communication than ever before from town halls, 1-2-1 information sessions, quarterly calls, drop-ins, and more communications channels such as MS Teams. Additionally, we have refined our hiring practices to align better with project needs. Your input is invaluable as we strive to create a more transparent and supportive environment. In April 2024 we introduced a more simple and transparent performance review process. This process has had positive feedback from across the business. Feel free to reach out if you have further suggestions or concerns.

Pros

- Great colleagues - Udemy access - Flexible working - Good work/life balance

Cons

- Will throw you onto any project regardless of applicable skills with minimal support. - Bizarre emphasis/prioritisation of internal "work" over billable client project performance when conducting performance reviews. - Poor communication from senior management - Senior management poor all round - focused on reckless growth and led to massive over-inflation of consultant workforce, leading to subsequent rounds of redundancies. - Contracts are extremely lopsided - e.g. 4 weeks notice for them, 3 months for you - Compensation/benefits are average to poor and non-guaranteed - numerous employees have not had a pay review in nearly 2 years.

Thank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you appreciate the flexibility, work/life balance, Udemy access, and the supportive colleagues at our company. We acknowledge your concerns about project assignments, performance reviews, communication from senior management, and compensation. When it comes to promotions and performance reviews, we take into account, delivery, technical expertise, and the right technical and softer skills. In April 2024 we brought in a more simple and transparent performance review process. This process has had positive feedback from across the business. In regards to redundancies, this was something that the we did not wish to do, however, due to market conditions in 2023 we had to undertake the difficult decision to reduce our headcount. We value all feedback as it helps us make necessary changes. If you’re willing, we’d like to discuss your concerns further. Please reach out to our HR team to arrange a conversation.
