Hostile Work Environment

Pros

Because the office is small, you have the opportunity to gain a lot of experience on projects being very hands on.

Cons

Low pay with little incentive to work harder. CEO creates an extremely negative environment, and berates employees regularly. "Creative temperaments" come with the territory in this field, but this was the most extreme case I've seen. Working there was a horrible experience.

Pros

Great mix of interesting projects

Cons

Constant turnover..nobody usually stick around more than a few months..I have seen people leave all the time after a few days or weeks. A principal who is moody and yells at her employees for no reason other than constant bad mood( constant mental abuse) Lack of benefits, poor salary. Lack of office supplies, being yelled at for drinking company coffee sometimes even water Principal likes to put people down.. seems to be a strategy to avoid anybody getting promoted

Horrible Work Environment

Pros

There are many projects going on at once which is great for an architecture firm.

Cons

Nobody stays at Durukan long. It's run by a boss who is rude, demanding, and hostile towards employees. Nobody is happy or excited about the projects because of management. Highly stressful and tense office due to the treatment of employees and unrealistic demands. No time is given for training or advice. I watched most people leave during my time there.
