Cannot imagine why someone would use that word to describe the Firm (curious about what office), and continue to work at the Firm. But whoever it is, it looks like it is time for you to leave the company and look elsewhere for employment.

Pros

A place to work Monday - Friday.

Cons

Disorganized with unrealistic expectations. Little to no training on a terrible system. No bonus. No investment in employees. High turnover. High stress.

Nothing objective here to address. The "terrible system," I assume, is our case management software: TimeMatters, and Juris. Compensation comments about bonus is misplaced. The comment must have been made by a short term employee. The firm has a bonus program for employees, and an excellent compensation package (exceeds market) + a very robust employment benefits package with health insurance, dental, vision, 401K, etc.

Pros

Smaller office environment and generous benefits that you can pick and choose as sort of a cafeteria plan. Workloads are very manageable and it is an 8-5 job that you do not take home with you.

Cons

There is no real management or operational structure to the firm and no sense of direction. Scott Dutton (owner) is out of touch with the day to day operations and his employees yet still wants to maintain an iron grip on everything within the company. The approach to workflow and corporate polices is inconsistent and ham fisted as a result. There is no upward mobility and internal promotions are rare. Paralegals have unreasonable billing requirements in comparison to their workloads and paralegal salaries are tied to billable hours. As a legal professional I cannot recommend DLG for long-term employment.
