Cons
Dynacast is the most frightening place that I have ever worked. The people who have been there for any significant have a clouded perception of the company. There is ABSOLUTELY NO FLEXIBILITY. If you show up one minute late for work (after 8am) or come back from lunch a minute late, the CEO may fire you. He runs around like he's the most powerful person in the world and everyone who works in the office should bow down to him. He operates the company like an emperor rather than a leader -- there is absolutely no leadership happening there. Having the constant fear in the back of your mind that you may be fired at the drop of the hat for being a minute late to work is not something that I want to worry about if I am performing well at my job. If you're anything but a mildly attractive white female or white male, you probably won't be welcomed here. Anyone who fits into any minority group should stay away for their own good. There are little opportunities for growth at the office in Charlotte. There also is no formal (or informal) performance feedback. There's really no HR department to speak of, so there is no structure to anything in the office. Basically, anything goes and if you don't like it you can leave.
