Pros

Dyna is a large commercial electric contractor, so work is plentiful

Cons

Expect to get worked like a dog for minimum wage. 10 miles days are not unexpected. Also expect to see some of your coworkers working through their breaks, and "encouraging" you to do the same.

Interesting projects. San Diego central location hard to beat. Social events. Standard benefits. Moderate level of people diversity. Small company feeling.

Cons

Terrible new employee onboarding. Very disorganized structure. The more experienced and knowledgeable people don't care for junior associates. High turnaround for engineers. Bad place to start your career as an electrical controls engineer or other disciplines. Pay and benefits not competitive. Management didn't seem to know how to best utilize manpower as project assignments were not properly distributed to the right/capable engineers. Old school senior engineers not willing to pass on their knowledge to juniors. Controls department was such a disappointment in general, it's been the worst experience in my 10+ career as a Controls Engineer.
