Small chaotic company that has potential but will never expand.

Pros

Friendly and knowledgable co-workers (some, not all...). Pay is decent.

Cons

Poor management in all departments. Quality team falling apart due to too many conflict of interests. Lead is more lenient and attached to her own shift's quality inspector therefore making it difficult and unfair for the other inspectors when she doesn't do her job. Strong lack of proper training, a lot of it is learning as you go a.k.a. screwing something up and getting set up to fail and never really finding out about it in both quality and production departments. Lack of communication is highly noticeable and quite frequent. Struggling new operators who have little to no machine experience making quality of jobs harder. Most jobs get reworked because people cannot see their own work. This company does not live up to their own core values of integrity, gratitude, respect, honesty, etc...Especially respect. Parking spaces are limited now. Temps come and go way too often than any normal company. You only get two 10 minute breaks and one unpaid 30. 1st shift's lead operator makes a lot of people quit. The whole production, quality, tooling, and shipping area are the dirtiest and unsanitary places to be in, especially the QC room. The cleanroom here has bioburden x10.

Pros

It was a high precision tool shop, great niche in the tooling world, historically with a Great Reputation. D & P were widely admired and respected.

Cons

Mean and Dumb. There is big turn over in both shops. It's a NIGHTMARE, now that Generation 2 has taken over. "Incompetent !" D&P turned it over to them way too early to these brats . They are riding on their Dad's coat tails, won't last long . . .

Pros

Wages and benefits are no worse or better than anywhere else.

Cons

Lead times are unrealistic and management interferes with the work schedule. It makes scheduling jobs frustrating. Revolving door employment policies does not bode well for being a long term employee. One only has to look at their employment history, (or just ask anyone who works there). Money is spent on "looking good" rather than tangible machine tools. The focus appears to be on the actual running of molds, not the building of them. A visit to the Foley facility is like stepping back into the 70's.
