Pros

This company is absolutely demeaning and its literature in the way it talks to this female -dominated profession. It states 5 attributes that one must have to succeed even though the target audience are already Masters level licensed medical professionals. Sounds like it was written by a chauvinist, and that's not even the worst of it this company actually expects professionals to pay for their own plane ticket to Florida when I live in Washington State, pay for my own rental car and food, offered some cramped condo to share with strangers that is very questionable in my opinion, for an unpaid training in order to use a mobile endoscopy. For someone who already has a master of science degree and is a practicing speech language pathologist, if I wanted to get this sort of training I would do it locally and I would certainly not foot the bill for a cross-country plane ticket and questionable accommodations with an unpaid, " quote on quote" training, in order for me to actually do the job. The other expenses this company will expect the employee to foot is one hour of drive time and wear and tear on their vehicles before any reimbursement each and every day. And then the pay is about ten to $20 below national average. And the six-page brochure is written in the most demeaning and chauvinistic language as to how " the 5 correct attributes" imcluding a calm demeanor is what's needed ...how do you think I practice as a medical professional for the last 5 years?

Pros

Endoscopy- I love the actual work I do

Cons

Everything else. Terrible office staff that will question everything you do; Management that lies to you, speaks to you like a child, doesn't respect your clinical judgement; They continue to hire people even though their current employees don't have full time hours- You WILL NOT get a consistent 30 hrs a week; You will have to sign a contract forcing you to stay with them for 18 months because they can't get anyone to stay with them- if you don't stay 18 months you are required to pay them $10,000; The positive reviews on here are all senior staff members FYI.

It is impossible for every SLP to adjust to the responsibility of managing their time and energies independently, as required by this position. Every employee is given every opportunity to get as many hours as they want. There is no restriction, as long time employees will confirm. This employee was mentored and mentored again. Unfortunately this employee was not a good fit for the position and is better suited to working in a facility where they clock in and clock out and are not responsible to schedule their day. . The information shared is inaccurate and slanderous. We expect, however, for anonymous reviews to take liberties that one would not if they had the integrity to sign their name. That is unfortunate.

Pros

get to create own patient schedule, get paid for mileage and gas, pay

Cons

terrible president, annoying office staff that will hound you when they need something but wont answer when you call them, lots of office turnover and will treat you poorly when you leave. The president says one thing but does another. Creates a routine and then changes it the next week and you get scolded from constant changing routines

This job is not for everyone. We wish that it was, as it would be so much easier to staff and train. Unfortunately not everyone is adept at changing systems, as we have been adjusting due to the changes in healthcare mandates. We have the responsibility to assure that the facilities that we serve receive documentation that is up to the standards that they expect. When we see that an employee is just unable to adjust to the requirements put upon us as consultants to all of these facilities, we attempt to do whatever we can to help them. It just doesn't always work out, but it is not acceptable for us to lower the standards that our contracted facilities expect in these cases.
