Pros

Great coworkers (for the most part) Nice coffee machines and break room Free pizza/lunches monthly Nice holiday party

Cons

CEO is forgetful and changes project directions constantly, running projects into the ground with his indecisiveness. Sales team is completely incompetent, lazy and blame others. Unfortunately almost every department has to work with them constantly and it is frustrating and demeaning. HR watches everyone's breaks and when they come in and out of the office, like a school teacher. Unapproachable and not helpful in conflict situations or advice. She is constantly on Facebook and listening to the news. Hours are very unflexible. They make everyone take an hour lunch and stay until at least 5pm. Executive staff yell at employees or belittle them in meetings in front of everyone. Very high turn over and morale is extremely low. Very low pay and no set raises/reviews. If you want a raise, you have to ask for one. There is no way to gauge how you are doing at your job until you get yelled at or reprimanded. Equipment is old. Building is run down, with mold and is leaking. There are very few bathrooms and always a long line. There is no career growth, company is flat, just employees and then the two executives. No levels.

Pros

Nice co-workers, always willing to help each other out if they have the time. Good opportunities to work in all sorts of areas with this company even if you have limited experience. If you show an interest, odds are you will be given some duties in that area since the company isn't willing to hire the appropriately experienced people to do most jobs.

Cons

Unfortunately the downsides to working at E-filliate are many. 1 - the pay. Pay is below average no matter what your position or experience. Senior management believes you should be appreciative that they have given you the opportunity to work for E-filliate and that should be rewarding enough. The company gives raises very sparingly, and when they do it is minimal - more of a slap in the face. Raises were frozen for over 3 years even though the company was making more money than ever. 2 - the benefits. There are of course the standard medical and dental benefits available to you but at about the highest rates you can get. I know I was better off going on my wife's insurance than having any coverage with E-filliate. There are ZERO sick days and 1 week of PTO your first year (increases to 2 weeks after your first year). PTO must be used for everything, even if you need to take a few hours off. Important: this applies to SALARY employees also. 3 - many layoffs, high turnover, not enough staff. There have been many rounds of layoffs through the years, including those of middle management employees, and no replacement of staff. With the company going in multiple directions, there are a lot more duties to be performed with about 50% of the staff, most of which are entry level, inexperienced workers. Add this to the number of people who have quit without being replaced and it's not the best situation to be in. 4 - lack of training and experience. You are required to basically teach yourself every job that you are given since there usually isn't somebody around to help teach you (they have either quit or been laid off). The company is too cheap to pay for the necessary training either. 5 - employee morale. Employee morale is very very low, and with good reason. You are verbally beaten down on a daily basis for never being good enough (well what do you expect when I am doing a job I have no training in?) and you are used to your co-workers continually quitting (good for them!) or being laid off. Not too much to be happy about.

Pros

Like the other reviews the only pro to working here is the few people that you may have the chance to work with. Wes is a very good owner who you can go to with just about anything. Kyle is a good CFO as well. The company is expanding rapidly. Yes the Christmas party is nice, they provide lunch 2-3 times a week, and they do raffle off various gifts occasionally.

Cons

But the Christmas party, the lunches, and the various kings tickets and event tickets DO NOT PAY THE BILLS. The employee consensus is that we would much rather get a raise annually or at least have a 6 month review process for the chance to receive a raise. There is absolutely no room for growth here unless you work in the office, and even then you have to suck up to management to do so. The management here overall is just a joke. They do not respect the intelligence of the people beneath them. Morale at E-Filliate is awful at least in the DC because of lack of pay, no communication from upper management, management taking credit for innovations or ideas, let alone all the politics that go into making a simple change in the workplace. The company is expanding at a rapid rate but the manager does not want to promote from within. He likes to bring "highly skilled individuals" who frankly don't have much skill at all. There is favoritism between management and temps.
