You'll be send to client with little preparation. Don't fail too much and you "passed the test" and are part of the team. This means if you are practical + initiative you can learn a lot.
-Female consultants have been verbally harassed by seniors, don't be afraid to be assertive to cut those conversations
-A sense of team is little to not there. You are often alone at the client and few organised events with the team together to share knowledge and build relationships
-Financial structure (incentives for top management) directs their behaviour, which is very much focused on the short term
