Pros

Enough money for supplies, all kids have books, supportive principal and vice principal, concerned parents. Family atmosphere. Teachers in middle and high school teach the same students for multiple years so you can build deeper relationships.

Cons

Pay schedule is opaque, teachers fired with no reason given, board members with discipline problem children don't get the same punishment as others. Non-Muslims may experience some culture shock. Expect 10-20% less salary than at a public school. Wide differences in student levels, but not much accommodation because the school is so small. No advancement opportunities. Expect 5-6 preps.

Pros

Decent salary and benefits compared to some other companies. Hopefully in the near future the salary will be increased, this is not an easy job, but it does have it's rewards.

Cons

The job description is not literally accurate, you do whatever is asked of you without an opinion, irregardless of your job title. There's no option.
