Pros

There are 2 types of people who tends to excel & promoted quickly in this organization: 1) Sales oriented individual who must be prepared to sabotage colleagues to get more business. There is no clear separation on target market/clients so conflict between internal colleagues are bound to happen especially if you meet someone who is super competitive. 2) Individual who knows how to play politics and make bosses happy. You will get promoted even if you do not meet your sales target. If you are one of the above groups, EPS would be a fantastic platform for you. Tips to remember: Direct Manager is King. Upper Management is God. If they ask you to jump, do not ask why, but ask how high.

Cons

1) Their hiring strategy is to hire one racial/gender group (pretty Chinese girls) which explains their mindset. 2) While they may openly encourage creativity and self initiative among employees, you must understand the management will not implement nor support any new ideas because "We have been doing the same thing all the time". 3) Management is confuse between "not micromanaging" and "not managing". Expect to self learn if you're new to the industry. Managers are not happy for their staffs to learn from other team managers.

Thanks for your feedback. We humbly believe that the described behaviour does not align with our workplace environment and culture. We adopt an open-door policy and all employees are always welcome to have chat with the management on any matter. We assure you that no one department in the company has absolute influence and authority in decision making. Nevertheless, we are also disheartened to hear that you have to experience this. As Glassdoor is an open platform which does not verify the details of any case submitted before publishing them, we sincerely hope you can speak to us personally so that your grievances can be looked into. Regards.

Pros

Met some really amazing colleagues here.

Cons

Over here, you’ll become a Jack of All Trades But Master of None. The job they expect you to do is largely different from what is stated in the employment contract. No matter what your job title is in the company, you’re essentially a glorified salesman. The company is extremely sales-oriented, though you may not realise this at first instance since they are masterful at winning the hearts of employees/interview candidates through their “above market rate” salaries and promises of yearly company retreats. Besides this, the company has an archaic mindset that is highly resistant to change. Employees are encouraged to be creative and original but this is merely lip service. Whenever new suggestions are made, the company will find gazillions of reasons to push away these suggestions and remain in their comfort zone. The employees at EPS are generally nice but a handful of them is rather pretentious. There is this particular senior-level employee in the company who often uses meetings as an opportunity for him/her to boast about his/her personal achievements and subtly preach about the greatness of Christianity. Overall, the environment at EPS is highly toxic but sales-oriented people or individuals with herd mentality may not notice it. Oh, do not be fooled by the good reviews you see over here. Employee advocacy is part of the company’s employer branding strategy.
