Pros

- employee discount can be used in conjunction with sales - company has a "back end" website that all employees have access to ensuring everyone is on the same page in regards to company policies, procedures and anything else - occasionally vendors would send managers gifts of items we sold in store

Cons

- Company discourages sales under $140 - you can actually get written up for having consecutive single sales under $140 per sale - I was given 3 weeks notice before my store closed before we lost our lease and was told not to tell my team until 7 days before we closed - Managers are required to attend a religious seminar geared towards bettering your management and leadership style - this was held in a church for 2 days where we were not compensated for travel. Though they said it was "optional" when I inquired with my Director on this, I was told that it was mandatory. - most "bloggers" or "well known" fashionistas that the company works with publicly have a religious undertone to their work relationship- either a religious author, religious speaker or religious life coach - advancement is near impossible - reviews are only done twice/year so any "compensation/raise" gets retroactively paid from your start date (could be up to 6 months!) and if you change careers, you are not eligible for your raise whatsoever - company has closed 2 stores so far with plans to possibly close 3 more - a true sign of moving too fast too soon

Pros

fun Co-workers, discount, location, merchandsing

Cons

VERY disappointed working for this company! Inconsistent training/support from upper management. Inadequate computer server that was constantly crashing! Inexperienced managers, rigid culture that looks for those who are "Followers". Opinions are discouraged and a big no no unless you are "friends of the owners." Don't work here if you are looking to be empowered. My experience was that they are not looking for women who think for themselves and are willing to speak their minds. There was pressure to be an aggressive sales person even though stylists are not paid commission. Some women that have dealt with the home office employees have left the company after realizing the arrogance of the executive team. Most people who work at the home office started working at the original Edina store and got their jobs because they are friends with the owners not because they are the most qualified and many can be very rude. Fairly young company that is still trying to figure out their infrastructure. Communication from the home office down to store level is really poor and leaves store personnel unprepared.

Pros

Employee discount, flexible scheduling for part time employees, fun store atmospheres

Cons

Store managers work 45-48 hours a week on a salary that doesn’t equally care for them like they care for the business. Owners will spend money on their “brand” versus spending money to care for their employees. During pandemic there weren’t any pay increases or holiday party $$$ that could of supported store morale, come 2021 evereve opens new stores in high priced real estate markets. They push this ideal of empathy and heart but lack it for store employees. CEO is not open to feedback. Running a store in MN is as far as you get, it’s rather cut throat to get to a store director role when both store directors have been in their roles for 10+ years. But if you uproot your family to another state you MIGHT have an opportunity for growth from store manager to director or area manager. Promotions and growth into home office depends on how toxicly positive you are, who you know and who you’ve kissed up to
