Pros

Good learning experience, office location was in a nice area

Cons

CEO is a weasel. Acts like a good guy, but the sketchy never-give-you-a-raise demon is always lurking. About 95% of employees don't last more than 18 months, and 50% don't even last 6 months. If you work here, I suggest doing the minimal work possible to not get fired, and then wait until the company is in a vulnerable position so you can really gouge the CEO.

Helping our employees become their very best ensures our clients receive the quality work that will achieve marketing and eCommerce success. Salary increases and advancement opportunities are directly tied to performance. We provide every employee both the opportunity to grow and the necessary feedback so they will know what is necessary to advance. This is done through quarterly performance reviews that are based on measurable KPIs. Each team member's KPIs are in writing and they are set with their manager at the beginning of each quarter. After each quarter, managers have performance appraisals with each team member. We reward proactive individuals that meet or exceed our clients' expectations. This approach has resulted in our team winning awards and satisfied clients who have seen increased revenue and profitability. Our clients have high expectations of our work and us. The work is not easy, but it is rewarding. We have been in business since 2003 and growing. I am committed to the growth and success of our clients and our talented team. Pros

They under paid you (via market standards) but at least it was on time... They had a ping pong table... They... Well, that's about it.

Cons

Poor people management: retaining employees and cultivating careers is their lowest priority, but they'll feed you platitudes stating otherwise. It's bull. Poor client management: they tried to strip down templates and implement them as custom eCommerce solutions. Poor vision: this company is reminiscent of a bad overseas development shop that does shoddy work that's continuously late at which they'll start their finger pointing and playing the blame game.

Shocking Turn Over & Marketing Fraud

Pros

Real work for real companies, good for building experience. Opportunity to move up quickly, ironically as a result of the high turn over.

Cons

Several of EYEMAGINE's marketing claims are false. EYEMAGINE represents itself as a company staffed by "US based developers, award winning designers, & seasoned project managers", but in reality most the people working there are 20 and 30 something year olds with less than 3 years experience. Much of the work is outsourced to Indian developers and other random companies, and the core in house team is often left to clean up their mess. Instead of investing in building a cohesive team of talented people, EYEMAGINE prefers to hire the cheapest people possible, regardless of their personalities or english skills. On top of that everyone is measured by individual performance so team unity and efficiency are systematically disincentivized. The turn over is so high that usually less than 20% of the company has been there for more than a year, and about once a month someone gets hired, fired, or quits.

The company has been operating since 2003 and continues to grow. The US based team continues to grow by hiring the most talented team members available. Our Inbound Marketing department has grown over 300% in the last year. Our developers have contributed to the enhancement of open source software projects, innovative online business transformation for our clients, and internal process improvement. Headquarters are in Irvine, CA and a team in Texas. To maximize the success of our Inbound Marketing results, we work with veteran copywriters with experience in varying business verticals. We set S.M.A.R.T. goals with each of our marketing accounts to transparently measure success the success of our campaigns and activities. EYEMAGINE encourages staff feedback through weekly one-on-one meetings with direct managers, online anonymous suggestion forms that are reviewed by the management team, and an open-door policy that encourages staff to approach any manager or the CEO with suggestions, complaints, or concerns. We conduct employee satisfaction surveys to gather feedback directly from the team. The level of falseness and inaccuracy in this review from a "current employee” is questionable.
