Pros

- Good place to try out different sorts of projects. - Diverse workforce - Generally nice employees

Cons

- If you enjoy "wearing many hats" and being constantly overburdened with random projects, many of which may be way outside of your skills/experience, then this is the place for you - Incompetent Management - Unorganized, outdated workflow methods - Expected to be "On Call" 24/7 - Little to no regard for employee's personal time outside of work. Everything and anything is an emergency if management says it is. - Poor communication, constant micromanagement - Deceptive compensation and benefits, you may be promised bonuses and never receive them - Egocentric, arrogant management. You will be talked down to and punished if you attempt to stand up for yourself

Friendly People, Bad Pay

Pros

Friendly people for the most part.

Cons

Very bad and uncompetitive pay. Management refuses to invest in proper tools to maintain an organized business and opt to use email for everything. Majority of the people in marketing left the company because of this (and also pay obviously). Internal emails that require a response from people don't get responses most of the time, even when forwarded multiple times throughout the week. Most meetings that aren't weekly meetings are announced with 5 to 30 minute notice, which can ruin the entirety of your focus and schedule. Most of these short-notice meetings tend to be pointless too, so it can get really aggravating and makes you wonder how nobody has the capability of planning a couple days ahead of time for non-urgent meetings. Our engineers here have no drive to improve their skills, have no self-accountability most of the time, and write no Integration or E2E tests, so tons of features needlessly break every release. There is no CI/CD workflow for our engineers, and our Git server is an SSH server without any kind of DevOps solution.
