Pros

I can agree with some of positives mentioned in previous reviews. The company does offer several perks such as: - Generous work/life balance - Many employees are allowed to work remotely as life requires so long as you complete the work required of you. This is far and away the greatest perk of working here. The flexibility with time was the best I had experienced up until now. - Space Coffee – The kitchen is outfitted with a state of the art cold brew coffee dispenser, affectionately labeled as “space coffee.” - Company provided lunch – No need to bring your own food on Fridays. The company will decide your lunch for you. - It has a bright and colorful new office. Bright Orange and blue walls with hardwood accent walls surround you with an spacious industrial environment. Choose to roll your own burrito and you have a hip looking office that you might just confuse for your local Chipotle.

Cons

Unfortunately, there are several cons to working here that one should consider before accepting an offer of employment at this company. This entirely depends on the position held at the company. Certain roles and departments are valued higher than others and management is adept at making this apparent. - Inequality in pay scales – While some people may have fair pay, this is not true for all. My salary was 30% less than what Glassdoor reports as an average salary for my role. The pay scale is not market competitive in any way. - New thoughts and ideas are discouraged - If you are not in complete agreement with management you are labeled as an antagonist, a practice that was outlined in a company mandated reading. - Indecisive – There seems to be a new direction or agenda every six months, where a new path forward is introduced. - Lack of transparency – Transparency is often touted as a strength but there is often very little explanation given to any updates or changes in agenda. - Management turnaround – The entire upper-management team was changed in the past year. Three of the four previous executives were replaced for unspecified reasons. Leaving many open questions about direction that were largely not answered - Lack of direction – One of the company’s primary products was largely neglected to languish as an income crutch. No attention was given to its possible future leaving it an open question for years. - Poor customer service – Management’s decision to neglect one product also meant neglecting customers of said product. Some of the oldest and largest loyal customers were intentionally neglected. Management officially decided to neglect these customers leaving many of them understandably upset. - Excessive spending – For a smaller start-up business, it spends large amounts of money on purchases of dubious value. Buying expensive game tables, video game rooms, gourmet coffee dispensers, accent wood walls, high end apple products for all meeting rooms all while not offering competitive wages or cost of living raises for employees. - Open office environment – This is entirely subjective, however, several design decisions make it less appealing here. The lunch room and open meeting area is centrally located in the office space. You will always have activity here. This space also includes a large TV that is hooked to a video game system. A shuffleboard table was also installed off to the side. Fun additions no doubt, but while in use, this all creates commotion and disruption making concentration difficult throughout the work day. - Toxic culture - Due to the type of culture encouraged at the company, any suggestion that may not offer flowing praise of the company is quietly dismissed. There really is no place here for anything less than good news. On multiple occasions, I and others warned of some customers’ complaints regarding the product and service provided. It has been on a steady decline for multiple years and several customers have noticed. This is not good news to hear at any time, and no one wants to listen to upsetting news. Unfortunately, there is just no place for that type of thought at Ease Inc. No one listens. No one cares.

Pros

Not many pros here. Lunch on Fridays, video games in office. Employees other than management.

Cons

Blind leading the blind. Power and trust put within the wrong people. CEO fired, or drove all upper management to leave within 6 months of each other. The problems with this company start at the top. I would not be suprised if this company was in business for longer than a year or two. The software is very buggy and functionality is so so. I would not recommend taking a job here. Could be a very toxic environment from time to time.

Pros

Great workplace culture, the people are great and everyone cares about the company. There is a lot of opportunity and management is committed to helping us grow our careers. Our customers like, and benefit from, the software we build. Learning is encouraged and contributions are valued. Snacks!

Cons

Despite being a small company, sometimes communication is not as clear as it could be.
