Local area is very nice.

Cons

The College of Nursing is a cesspool of toxicity! Faculty leave as quickly as they arrive and leaders are chosen simply based on their willingness to blindly follow the Dean's unethical demands.

I would have rated it a 1 star except that the State 401k plan and health insurance are great coverage.

Cons

The pay scale used isn't the greatest and politics hinders people from doing their job and prevents them from growing.

Pros

I loved my years with ETSU. There are some phenomenal members of the faculty and staff.

Cons

I developed an ulcer trying to improve the quality of the programs at ETSU. There are a large number of faculty and staff that do more harm than good to the university. Administration is bloated and overpaid, tenure is abused, and adjuncts are overused.
