Good pay, limited opportunity

Pros

Easton offers the best pay for nurses in the Lehigh Valley. Three 12 hour shifts. Get to make more connections then you would at other large networks in the area. As a part of a large national corporation, there are hospitals all over the country where you can transition too.

Cons

Being a much smaller hospital than others in the area, the opportunities to work in specialty fields are limited. Continuing education and resources are limited when compared to other local hospitals.

Felt like a fish out of water

Pros

Excellent benefits packages. Very quick on-boarding process. Hospital is trying to improve appearance and update the look of common areas.

Cons

Supervisors did not give any guidance. I was impressed with the concept of wanting to make Easton Hospital a place where people loved to come to work; however, it was clearly only a concept. I would have liked to see that way of thinking adopted by the employees.
