      Lack of structure in a struggling sector..

      Pros

      Salary offered is high to capture candidates in a employees market and hybrid working offered (however this really is no longer a companies unique selling point, it’s an expectation in general post pandemic).

      Cons

      Salary is inconsistent across same role type which is concerning for those whom have been loyal to the business and are being underpaid compared to new hires, there was no clear position description provided creating confusion around role requirements and learning trajectory, lack of structured KPIs for the sales team - this was changed frequently allowing one to assume management has no awareness regarding their desired outcome and meant sales incentives lack consistency meaning behaviours focus on output and not outcome.

      Thank you for your review. Easy Weddings works on salary bands, which is best practice. This means our team members are rewarded according to their different skills and experience levels, but within the band their roles fall under. In regards to retention in one specific department, we understand and accept that fast-paced, growing organisations are not for everyone. We have made necessary changes during covid (which hit the weddings industry incredibly hard) to ensure we continued to operate successfully and grow. We are very happy that we have retained our top talent (currently scoring us at 85 /100 on Employment Hero) and very proud of the talent we are bringing in every month.

      Pros

      You can work from home most of the time and some areas never need to come into the office

      Cons

      If you are passionate, creative and a great thinker this company is not for you. The CEO is insecure and authoritarian and will not tolerate anyone who is not a yes person or who challenges him. He just dismissed the whole senior layer of the company and now has a group of inexperienced managers who are scared and tell him what he wants to hear. No one strives to do a great job, people only stay because they can work from home and not very hard.

      - Team: both the marketing team and the broader team are absolutely amazing to work with, the culture is great! - Work: we get to work in weddings, how fun is that?! - The leadership team is respectful and values the team - Remote/flexible work - Salary and growth opportunities It's just a really fun and rewarding place to work!
