Great People, Bad Management

Pros

-Most employees in associate level positions care about their work and are here because they love food -You will never go hungry here -People are very friendly and open once you get to know them -Good benefits - flexible PTO, WFH policy, 401k, health insurance, and food

Cons

-Management is unwilling to accept and has not provided paths for feedback -Executive level seems to think employees are disposable, replaceable, and interchangeable -Management continues to hire directors/VPs without food backgrounds -- you wouldn't hire someone to work at at an advertising firm with no background in advertising -No growth opportunities as most promotions go to outside hires -High turnover and slow hiring process so additional work gets put on already understaffed teams -Salaries are under market value -Worst part is management is aware of these issues and has not made any efforts to fix them

Highly volatile and unprofessional environment

Pros

Work-life balance, liberal work from home policy, talented employees outside of management.

Cons

As someone who spent a good portion of my career post-college at EAT Club, I regret to write that the environment, culture, and management at this company is one I would not recommend to anyone seeking personal or professional fulfillment of any kind. In my time at EAT Club I witnessed sexism, inappropriate behavior towards employees of certain genders, ethnicities, and heard countless comments regarding employees' appearance from executive level individuals. I witnessed employees getting promoted not based on performance or merit, but based on interpersonal relationships with management. I witnessed lies and errors that impacted the business become concealed from management by employees, or ignored by management when exposed, again due to interpersonal relationships taking priority over acting in accordance with standard policies or procedures typically upheld in most legitimate companies. In addition, the vast majority of the company is severely underpaid, and turnover is abnormally high. Employees are not valued, respected, acknowledged or compensated fairly for their work. Founder appears to be unfazed by the destruction of what little company culture there was/is left, and despite explicit conversations with concerned employees, has failed to make any positive or impactful changes.
