Pros
You're working to help women victims of violence. CEO is incredible and inspiring. It's a feminist women only organisation - you don't have to apologise, justify or explain feminism and women's rights - it's a given - just focus on delivering improvements in police, legislation, practice and opportunities for women survivors of violence.
Cons
it's a women's sector NGO - we are constantly struggling to find and maintain finances which can mean job insecurity. As a small NGO, little in way of career promotion pathways. However because small you have the chance to work across the whole organisation, use your initiative, pick up areas of work and so develop huge range of skills and experience and really challenge yourself - if you are prepared to work hard.
