Great opportunity to work at a legit search marketing agency
Pros
Eclipse is by far the most liberal, connected search marketing agency as far as how it works with its team, clients and how it aligns with industry trends. As for the former Director of Organic Search, we went from 10 employees and about 25 clients to over 35 employees and over 70 unique domains in less than one year. When you consider the fact that we did not operate with set contracts and were still able to command a true 93% annual retention rate, you begin to understand that there is much more going on than just looking hip through their website or regurgitating the same old universally known tactics. Eclipse caters to the local plumber as much as their stand as the Agency of Record for world-recognized brands like GiveSmart and The Source. The reason for this is because 1. the staff is actually trained and groomed to become true advocates in their fields 2. the owner/CEO Nathan would never allow anyone to ever deceive their clients by promoting attractive percentages of growth opposed to offering actual numerical value 3. Reporting is custom, monthly and speaks to revenue/conversions, not just traffic and bounce rate 4. there really is no competition in Atlanta. Considering the Cardinal Web Solutions of the Atlanta market where you get a really laid back owner and a bunch of kids out of college, Eclipse only employs people who have set professional backgrounds in what they do, which means they cost more and are also able to provide more for their clients. Every single one of my employees was GA certified, published in actual search marketing journals and represented the company in weekly radio shows hosted by The Wall Street Journal. If you are considering Eclipse over another agency to either work for or with, just ask both owners a few questions about SEO, link building and conversion optimization...I GUARANTEE you will watch one of the two use jargon and squirm while Nathan comfortable explains exactly what they mean and how they will precisely lead to additional revenue, opposed to traffic.
Cons
Being in Duluth limits their ability to easily identify stellar talent. This doesn't affect anything, just makes the hiring process that much longer.
