      Great place to work right out of college.

      Pros

      It is an amazing place to work. It was a pleasure working with some of the brightest and friendliest people I know. All of the economists are top-notch and act as both your boss and mentor. It may be one of the best jobs out of college you could possibly have.

      Cons

      Sometimes the workload can be light given the amount of cases they are working on. However, they are cognizant of this and let you do whatever you want during your free time.

      Pros

      A great community of research associates and overall support from peers. A week of in depth tutorials prepares new associates for future tasks. Good overtime benefits.

      Cons

      A significant amount of overtime work when assigned to certain projects. Tasks can vary drastically depending on the project's subject matter, which can be challenging to understand and learn quickly.

      Friendly people. World class skills. Brilliant founders. True commitment to ethical standards and fostering a nurturing and flexible environment for new employees. The company tries hard to accommodate each economist's preferences wrt work life balance.

      Cons

      When there are case related deadlines, the company expects economists and other professional employees to put in extra time if necessary. Although the company will accommodate academic research by offering time, money and staff support, EI is a commercial enterprise. Client work gets priority when resources are scarce.
