A not so good experience

Pros

For a fresher who is desperate to get a job, this will be a good start, just for the sake of getting an experience certificate. More than technical/operational knowledge, you will certainly get the proper insight on how people behave in the corporate world and how they treat you. This will really help when you move out of this company and look for better opportunities.

Cons

1) One of the main Cons I want to point out is the toxic working culture and how this toxicity affects your mental health. You can only survive here if you are equally toxic. This starts from the top management where they pressure you to achieve the monthly targets for a product that is not as competent as others available in the market. 2) The people working in this company are not Employees for the top management, but just slaves only to achieve targets. Your Managers, Team Leads etc will not understand what you are going through because they don't have any human feelings. It's all about the money. A HR department with hardly 3 people (that too Interns!) tells you how pathetic the condition of the employees are. 4) Ridiculous Salary Package. Don't let the numbers mentioned in the Offer letter fool you. These are just for attracting people. The performance Pay is a damn joke. The long-term bonus mentioned will be given depending on whether they are doing good with the Revenue numbers. They can also change the policies without prior notice. Basically, you will feel as if you are in a Christopher Nolan movie with a lot of Twists! Also they are deducting money from the salary for Snacks and Beverages which you will never get. 5) No fun activity whatsoever. Just keep working. 6) No proper leave/Work-from-home policy. LOP's are the only option if you want more leave. 7) Very Greedy Top management with no proper Mission or Vision. Just faking it. 8) Work Life Balance. Should I even explain this?! It's just an imbalance in all terms.

Pros

Whatever good reviews you are seeing that was when the culture used to be good, now things are very much different. There might be people who still like the work culture but work life balance now is 0. The reviews from employees working for more than 1 year means they are part of upper management as rarely people stay in Inside Sales here for more than 1 year. If it is less than 1 year means most probably they will be in Inside Sales only.

Cons

This is very honest review after working with the company for 6 months. I've given a very good review about the company 2 months back but consider this as an update. I never planned to work here for more than few months but somehow I got close with few people and started liking the company. The good thing was pressure was very minimal, whenever we want we can take offs but we just need to take care of our numbers. Even though we fail to do that it was kind of okay as long as we are trying and minding our own business. In recent days things started to change a lot, even 5 minute late to office was considered a big issue and even if we perform good they force us to perform better by making us feel we are not doing good enough. Most companies might not allow many things that EdYoda used to allow but once that culture is gradually changing employees will feel that discomfort as things used to be different back then. From the time you join the company they will start talking about the culture that the company follows. The funny fact is this culture that they talk about existed months back. The time I joined EdYoda the above mentioned culture started diminishing. When I left EdYoda, I could hardly find the culture there but they still keep on talking about it with all new joinees. What was told to me when I started my journey with them is that if the candidates are not having the need never take them into the program, but what is happening now is if they are having the need or not it does not matter, the company should get revenue and they obtain it by creating the need. No revenue means you will get too much pressure. If you are getting payments then you are in the safe zone but once you stop getting the payment even though you were a good performer for the past 2-3 months also they will just forget your existence. If someone is performing good even for 2 weeks the TL will go behind their.... Sales job has pressure but when the pressure is given they should be ready to pay us well enough. Here we are not paid well also on top of that refreshments that and this even if we are not having also gets deducted from our salary and we end up getting very low pay which is never enough to sustain in Bangalore. For freshers it is still a good company to start with provided they are not talking about the old culture. If you are expecting pressure and a very minimal pay you can definitely work here. Unlike other B2C companies EdYoda definitely has its perks, you will get a lot to learn from here on how things and people should not be and ofcourse there are few good souls working here because of whom you might feel working and that's the only thing that made me stay with them for this long. Whatever positive reviews that you come across was when the company used to follow the good culture. Now its entirely different. 10 people will come and 9 people will leave within 1 month because of all these. Feedbacks is another thing, anyone can say anything directly on their face, I mean feedbacks but the fact is that you can just give feedbacks but even the upper management won't be working on that. What is the use of giving feedbacks when the management itself is not trying to change things after getting feedbacks. Never wanted to post such a review but I am forced to put this review. Hope at least some people would find this review helpful.
