Pros

Good experience of SME sized managed service IT for financial trading sector. If you want to learn to manage basic office IT systems with a bit of Bloomberg and video conferencing, some co-located email, file sharing and Cisco networking. Not a lot of best practice going on, particularly when it comes to security which wouldn't pass a proper audit - no SIEM even though their clients are financial traders! There are some nice people working there and the work was interesting on the whole. Plenty to do and new clients to set up regularly.

Cons

Awful culture encouraged by a trio of egotistical 'managers'. I can't review the US office but the UK office is run by a triumvirate of guys who seem to think that they are managing a Hedge Fund rather than an IT company. You can tell which reviews have been written by management because they are the ones that say the only reason anyone might leave the company is because they couldn't hack the long hours and stress due to a lack of motivation and laziness. In fact this job had much less on call and stress than my previous job and the technology is pretty simple IE the same Cisco network stack in each client connected to pretty much identical hosted systems. It was just an unpleasant place to be. Bullying senior engineers who mock junior staff when they ask for help. I was told by my boss that he doesn't manage people and so there is no induction or training. No attempt to communicate what the company's plan is for the future. I tried to stay positive but had to leave as it became obvious that they had no interest in their staff or culture. This was put in stark contrast when I started my new job which is the opposite of this and I actually look forward to walking into the office instead of dreading having to spend another day working with such people.

Pros

Use for entry level into the financial sector

Cons

Too many to list. Unreasonable expectations, poor work-life balance, no career prospects, dysfunctional management.... There is a fundamentally floored and broken management team in the UK, all of whom suffer from massive ego problems. They are overly enamoured by their own self importance and fail to grasp the idea that they people (apart from themselves) have lives outside work. Edge TG has a "do what we say not as we do" culture and is to be avoided.

Pros

- If you would like to slowly torture your enemy to death, Edge is the very BEST place to refer him/her in, as you often require work overtime in last minute call, and even weekend without a fair compensation.

Cons

- A company that is a typical working CULT, you are not really allowed say anything sounds like criticizing, and the company will not humbly listen and seek for continually improvement. They just want to brain wash everyone inside. and take all extra workload and worship the company at the same time.
