Pros

There really is nothing positive about this company. Some positions are flexible with your work schedule but those people are expected to be on call 24 hrs a day seven days a week.

Cons

The company is very unprofessional and unorganized. They have people managing that are not qualified. The individuals don’t have the education or experience. The company has absolutely no training as well. The owner lies and cheats the students. They have the students pay a year in advance when they don’t even know if the student will be eligible to return. They lost over 80 host families W-2’. No HR department. Employees are asked to do very unethical tasks. There is absolutely no chance for advancement and don’t expect to learn anything. Salary is well below the industry standard. I could go on but the list is to long.

First of all, I am disappointed that you have nothing positive to say about the company which has provided you with a secure job for 3 years and 100% medical premium paid for family plan until September of this year when the company is not required to do so. Do you even realize you cannot get away from the fact that you are a part of this problem if you have worked here for 3 years? Have you forgotten EduBoston had also provided you with a free meal plan at Oppa Sushi and a couple of other restaurants nearby so you did not have to pack you lunch everyday? A lunch is not that important. But I think it is a good indication that the company cares for its employees. Next time, if you do not believe in the company, you should quit quickly. Or contribute to make difference. I think that is a winning attitude.

Bad management

Pros

Company provide car, laptop and phone

Cons

It is difficult to know where to start with this company but from the President on down the management style seems to be one of hypocrisy and self-preservation.T The President is dictator-like and is unable to accept any suggestions or feedback. For a paltry salary, they demand a 24x7 work ethic, and for those employees who are able to meet those requirements their efforts are not rewarded or even appreciated. Management is barely existent, non responsive, and unsupportive of subordinates. They will tell you they are open to new ideas and improvements to the much faltered program, however they take any such suggestions as personal insults. I've never worked in such a dysfunctional environment and am at a loss at how such a company may continue, let alone, succeed. I went in with such enthusiasm with many ideas and they were extinguished within the first week. The management says that they encourage open communication and want to hear from the employees to improve the company's performance but they are not open to any feedback. Pretty much you have to do whatever they tell you to do, even when it's unethical. And even when you follow their directions, they still stab you in the back. If you dare to say anything or to give a feedback when they ask for it, you become a target. It's like dictatorship. The company’s management is comprised of sycophants, which doesn’t help the company to prosper. I would highly caution anyone from pursuing any type of career at this company.

Bad News, Toxic environment, initiative squashed, leader is suffocating

Pros

It's a job and you get paid until pressure makes you fall apart. Very nice genuine people who work there until all energy is sucked out of them and made to feel like they have no worth.

Cons

Nice people working there but not appreciated by the leader who considers himself a visionary but visionaries do not constantly destroy the path of success or knock down talented people so he doesn't have to share the limelight of success with anyone. The highest turnover ratio of any small-midsize company and people are not leaving because of the building or company ...then guess why???
