      Cult-like culture with constant job uncertainty

      Pros

      Formerly Novartis R&D site in Australia a great place to work. Intelligent coworkers, family atmosphere and a passionate group of people.

      Cons

      Elanco forces it’s culture on every employee. Constant cost-cutting, then re-hiring then cost cutting again. Higher management constantly changing strategies and focus based on American demands, not other countries.

      A once good company brought undone by poor leadership

      Pros

      Has a broad product portfolio within the animal health industry. You will be incredibly well trained which will set you up for inevitable success in other companies.

      Cons

      Evangelical, self-serving and cult-like approach to leadership does not respond well to dissenting voices or diverse ideas. To do well in your career at Elanco, you need to drink the Elanco kool-aid and speak the Elanco sound bites. Despite being a global company they are completely US-centric. Elanco does not live by its published corporate values.

      Cutting hundreds of jobs two weeks out from Christmas

      Right now, I can't think of any, other than it's a pretty good job in a tough market.

      Cons

      For a company apparently run by devout Christians to announce that hundreds of roles are being *eliminated* (yes they used that word) two weeks before Christmas is surely sociopathic behaviour.
