All in All a Good Plan to work for

Pros

If you are hard working and talented, you will almost always be recognized and promoted. You are surrounded by many who really care about the organization and the members. There are lots of challenges and new opportunities to grow and learn. Elderplan did not have a corporate feel to it; really embodied more of a non-profit vibe (which is fitting, as it is a non-profit).

Cons

The location is not ideal; not the best part of Brooklyn. This is not your typical corporate office; so don't expect anything super schnazzy.

Pros

About the only pro I can think of is that if you live close by, it's an easy commute.

Cons

Cons *Organization is extremely top heavy. Some employees are managers or directors but have no one reporting to them. *Training tends to be poor across many departments. Organization does not invest heavily in training employees. Prefers to hire those who can hit the ground running. When I left, they were developing a training department but it may be too little, too late for many current employees. *Some departments have a toxic work environment and treat top performers and experienced people like crap while less seasoned people are treated like gold. *Insecure employees *Place has a high amount of nepotism and favoritism. *There is poor communication among various departments. *High Member Disenrollment rate
