Pros

I currently work at the Madame Butterfly but I was transferred from Flock to the Wok and Peacock Lounge. I am so happy with my co-workers and they are a family to me and that's all there is.

Cons

Tip shares are unclear and the company holds 3.5% of the tips without any properly explained reason. They broke all their promises including employee meals. There are countless nights I go home on empty stomach because everything else is close by the time I finish with my closing duties. There are many times I had to void items on the check as they were prep by poorly trained kitchen staffs. They all hit my tips in total. Yet, I still have to tip out according tithe total sale that I made which can leave me as low as $15 after tip out. Even after I was injured, I could not get a proper rest even with my doctor's notice due to "we are so short staff". Ignore all the constructive critics and only promote "Yes Ma'am" people.

Pros

The employees! I loved working with the people who worked for E&C. They work hard to make the collection of restaurants owned by the company successful. They give great customer service. The kitchens are well oiled machines that churn out amazing food daily.

Cons

Unfortunately, the owner and her team of people she considers her counsel. As a manager who came highly recommended to this company. I was hired and put on a 90 day performance contract. I met with the owner before signing to make sure I was clear on her expectations prior to signing the contract. She assured me that this was standard for their contracts and that I need not be concerned. I was hired and sent to Current Kitchen and Cocktails with no introduction to anyone on the staff. As an Operations Manager, I was NEVER invited to any management meetings. I witnessed loyal employees with 10+ years get demoted for no good reason. I watch the owners counsel, get ticked and go after a persons job if they didn't like them. My role was to interview and onboard new employees for all 12 locations and Manage Current Kitchen and Cocktails. I put my heart and soul into the job for this company. Was honest, loyal and did what the owner asked me to do at my location. I hired great staff for CK&C. Created a great environment. Changed the staff attire to elevate the customer experience. Was cleaning the place up, getting the grounds, cleaned and customer experience friendly. All was supported by upper management. Zero complaints about FOH team once I took over. Sales increased and had numerous customers come up to me and say that they had a great experience and could tell management had changed. On my actual 90th day of employment, My boss terminated me. Said company was going in a different direction. In this time frame, I had No negative reviews, no negative evaluations from management, nothing. My contract stated, that I would be given a performance review at the end of 90 days. No review was given, even after I requested it to see what I could have done better. I was a salaried employee and they didn't even pay me the full salary on my last check. My employees sent me notes and text expressing their disbelief of my termination, even they couldn't understand. Never given a reason why I was terminated and then they moved a guy I had just promoted and was training into my position and no salary increase, last he and I spoke. He was making 10/hr as a lead server and I was making 50,000/year. I was told by a local person in the city to not take the job, the upper leadership was bad business and did not treat ppl well. I didn't listen and learned the hard way. Only work for these people if you need a job asap, but once they hire you, start looking for better!

Pros

Literally zero. I guess the "ambiance" is nice.

Cons

I was hired and told that I would be able to become a server fairly fast due to my extensive experience in fine dining. When I got there they told me I was going to be hosting for them instead making $3.00 an hour plus tip out. I was shocked. The "managers" are simply just other servers that take all of the tables for themselves so they make all of the money. Every person I talked to there was either a server assistant, food runner, host and all said they have been trying to become servers for months. I was never paid for my two shifts that I did do. No check there when I called about it and never received a check in the mail.
