Pros

Some of the pros would include decent but not the best insurance and retirement benefits with a ESOP program. Also I'll mention that the workplace as far as in the warehouse and around other facilities are kept up very well. Also the day-to-day experience is typically relaxed but not always. Also they give a slight effort Within group meetings and individual meetings every few months to input personal opinions about issues and day to day work experiences and concerns. also I would say they are typically lenient and flexible on work hours and time off and they offer paid holidays an sick plus vacation time which rolls over monthly and yearly! Another Pro would definitely be the fact that they do make a constant effort to control respect amongst employees to create a friendly work environment. Also this could be a pro or con but typically they don't work a lot of overtime and weekends so your work schedule is pretty steady and constant.

Cons

I'll start out by saying the cons from my personal experience definitely outweigh the pros by a large margin. For starters I'll mention that you will recognize that majority of the employees within this company are Caucasian which can be very intimidating and also you'll realize the privilege that the Caucasian have over other ethnicity groups and how management purposely use different tactics to put certain minorities at a disadvantage and overall how they treat you. You also notice that most of the higher up better paying comfortable day-to-day work positions are occupied by caucasians and also the upper management groups are mostly related and they make a practice of " keeping things within the family". Also there is very little opportunity for career advancement. The wages are low and occasionally once a year they give out raises depending on if they feel like you deserve one which are typically not much no matter how much of a contribution and how much loyalty you shown the company. Also which this depends on your ethnicity you'll notice favoritism amongst the employees with upper management this issue alone will determine your fate with the company based on if the upper management staff approves and likes you. They say that they operate under seniority circumstances but in certain situations you'll definitely realize that's not all facts. Also for newer employees you'll realize that you will be expected and held to a much higher standard then employees who've been around for years as far as your productivity goes. Also I'll mention that communication is a big issue when it comes to day to day issues they sometimes try to find out what those issues are just to place Band-Aid Solutions over the issues. I hate to have to reiterate that racism is obviously practiced and disguised for obvious lawful purposes and many employees notice and are aware but don't like to discuss them openly.

Pros

Reasonable with PTO and benefits

Cons

management in Farmington Hills fails to recognize talent and hard work in other locations and fails to keep those people happy with the company. After sacrificing over 10 years to a company they take a huge pay cut out of a person's salary that literally keeps the company together. They also make assumptions about the needs of a branch of their company located in a different state, that are very misguided and strains the workers and the professional relationship.
