Pros
Only two good things: unlimited PTO and awesome coworkers.
Cons
Management doesn’t know how to communicate, everything is last minute and chaotic. They don’t know how to set proper deadlines and when you ask them for a deadline or clarification on a project they brush you off. Everything in the lab is used equipment so everything breaks down and they never have money to fix anything because they don’t know how to budget. The company is run by people 45 and younger with no background in running a company. When given a project limited information is provided even if you ask for more. Then once complete they change something drastic about it requiring you to redo the entire thing. You will hold multiple positions here as well but won’t be compensated for it. The lab practically runs everything and is constantly helping out marketing and paying bills for the company because the CFO doesn’t know how to pay things on time. If you can tolerate this to get some experience I say go for it but it is definitely not a long term place to stay. It is extremely toxic.
