Pros

- very good CEO - paid juniper exams - easy to access the office due to location - gym membership - good to get some experience, get access to some junipers and you can learn. - there's a pension scheme

Cons

- stressful - Not the best communication / team work with some of the other engineers on the team when I was there. Felt lost on a lot what was going on because of this, chasing crumbs of other engineers to get updates on stuff / ignored by others. - Compared to other competitors the on-call bonus is very low considering you're a week on call 24/7 on a rota schedule. - no health insurance - no paid sick days - unpaid lunch breaks - long days - you can easily get overwhelmed if you don't stay on top of things - pension scheme itself is not matched by the employer. - bit too much middle management and you're dragged into different stuff from different areas ...

Pros

The company has a very relaxed and flexible working environment. You have a lot of freedom and autonomy in your role. I've been here a few years and the company has really grown and expanded. There's a great working environment and the various office expansions and upgrades have been great. The teams get on well and although sometimes other people get a bit too involved it's a cool company. Management tend not to micro manage and ideas are usually listened to. I personally feel I've contributed to the growth and success of the company. Don't get me wrong you work hard, the hours can sometimes be long - but the MD is very accommodating and recognizes when you've gone out of your way to help.

Cons

A lack of organizational and management structure. Unlike previous employers there is little reporting to management, however recently this has started to improve. The city Centre location is good but when traffic is bad the commute can be tough. The company was growing pretty fast and this led to some strains internally like not enough staff etc but this is improving.
