Stressful and bullying avoid if you are a person of color
Pros
Gaines experience working for high maintenance clients
Cons
Doesn’t matter how good of a job I did the boss always had something bad to say about me. Very stressful working with high maintenance clients always have to available to them. Bullying from other coworkers purposely making me look bad to the owner. Owner loves to discuss politics and news that doesn’t even matter to the job and loves to gossip and spread lies. Felt the boss was a colorist and coworkers are RACIST they currently still work there so watch out for that especially in the creative director (decor) department. Boss doesn’t protect workers against clients. The boss is very inconsistent with giving “bonuses” and pays very low for the high stress work environment. Boss promises to follow through with giving a certain amount of money for each event and NEVER happened. Felt uncomfortable expressing how I truly felt to the boss. Owner makes workers work 12+ hour days and has everyone on salary to avoid overtime pay. Overall that job caused me emotional stress, anxiety and depression. After I quit my life changed. I don’t recommend applying for this company at any level for anyone that is a person of color. It will literally harm you. This company also doesn’t offer any health insurance and boss is super weird about PTO and doesn’t let you stack PTO hours it always renews every year. Doesn’t recognize certain holidays such as Juneteenth, and indigenous peoples day as federal holidays and always complains about them.
