Pros

- Great for fresh grads to learn - Willingness to guide and teach from those with experience - Avant-garde long term vision for the product - Company lunch gathering every 2-3 months & overseas trip annually

Cons

- Uses WhatsApp as the primary contact within company as well as with clients - Poor estimation for most projects (resources, risk & timeline) - Lack of CI/CD process with no standards in deployment and fragmented testing - Intensive customisation of product making future support challenging - Lack of consultation with the implementation team on complex solutions during tendering for projects

Pros

Much friends and good colleagues with good food around office areas Will hire anybody to replace people who left.

Cons

Poor salary and career leadings to extreme high number of people leave the company. Most devs here are all junior because seniors have long left. All the worst parts of working in an SME except magnified x100 - micron managing, no worklife, workhard by pay low. Big workload, poor project management, and bottom level pay way below market rates. My fault for joining this company as I think I would be different despite poor glassdoor review. Don't waste your time here, look at the glassdoor review.... so much people won't be wrong. If you don't believe and join, you will leave in a year anyways.

Pros

- Flexible working time, provided you are not in burning projects, else you will need to work 8(am)-2(am)-7 to complete your tasks. - Helpful and friendly colleagues who treat you as friend, provided they are still working in the company. - Frequent bonding event such as lunch gathering, annual trip, chirstmas, adhoc drinking session, bbq in office...etc

Cons

- Bad business operation which created hectic work environment (bad resources planning, unclear JD, unfair resources allocation) - Bad organisation structure, due to insufficient resources, management will assign you to handle multiple projects, even you are from different department which has nothing related to projects, or management will assign someone who is not under your control to your project, and he/she will screw things up. - Unclear vision and roadmap, the company is just follow motion from market and evolve accordingly, without any proper planning and strategy. Management can change their mind/decision in one night, then change again like roti prata, hence the company cannot focus in one goal, and the employee cannot focus on specific skill development to help company grow. - Overpromises to client, management always overpromised to client and the consequences will impicate the project team especially customer facing staff. - Favoritism, management will always favor some staffs for unknown reasons. Once a staff make a mistake which management dislike, they will firmly believe that staff is incapable/incompetent even the staff has many achievement in the past or future. This will affect the annual salary review as well. - Management never trust their employee, they will keep everything secret, hence more rumours will flying around office and bring down the morale of company.

Thank you for pointing out that we have built such a conducive and family-oriented environment together with flexible working time, helpful and friendly colleagues and frequent bonding events. In fact, we are looking at creating regular gatherings with alumni members as well. This is evident of the culture which I am proud of, especially as we continue to bring the business to the next level. Adapting rapidly to customer and market demands is a hygiene factor in the industry. Stretching to be ahead of the curve is what Elixir must do as an innovative company and a leading player in the Analytics space. We firmly stand by our core value that we are dedicated to make good of our commitment to our customers, even when it means we have to scale up the team, extend the timeline, and even absorb the additional costs to ensure our customers get a solution that everyone of us can be proud of. If I may have overstretched some team members in the course of this transition, I hope they understand. On the topic of communication, there is more that we must do in terms of internal and external communications, as better communication will facilitate openness and trust across our company. We have been building on the initiatives that are already in place, including open-door policy, townhalls and 1-on-1 skip level sessions. As the company's CEO, I am deeply thankful and appreciative of all who have put in efforts, dedications, and sacrifices on this journey with me.
