Thank you for your review, and I am sorry that your experience here was so poor. I would like to respond to the con of instability. Ellenhorn has been providing care for our clients for over 12 years and have grown from a group of 5-6 staff to over 60 staff in that time. I hope people interested in working here can look beyond this review and see how our values and culture are a very important part of how we have been in business for so long.

Pros

I love the people that work here. I have worked in an inpatient setting, and this place is much more supportive; it wants to keep clinicians educated about innovative ways to help our clients. It encourages clinicians to maintain private practices, and even has an office, free for clinicians to use for just that. We will often have social outings. I have seen some people write that it is a con that management is made up of clinical people, but I think it is an obvious pro. To work at a place that is run by people who know how to provide this care is invaluable. I wouldn't want to work somewhere that's owned by a business person, as they generally only care about profits. I know leadership here well and they are always talking about what makes sense for the client first. It is true that it doesn't run as an ultra well-oiled machine, but it is built on a foundation of clinical care for the population we work with. The rest will work itself out.

Cons

If you can't handle some uncertainty, this is not the job for you. This place requires creative, flexible thinkers, who think fast on their feet and are willing to do what it takes to help our clients. Not for people that like to be in their own office much of the day. Health insurance is really good, but it is not a PPO, which I think would be better. I also think parental leave could be better, but I hear they are working on it.
