Pros

Engineering work widely varies; desk work one minute and turning a wrench the next. You get a lot of opportunities to grow as an engineer. Most people are friendly and good to work with. Current GM is trying very hard to turn the company around with higher salaries and better work/life balance.

Cons

Extremely negative work environment with low morale as a direct result of the illogical, nonsensical, and sometimes unethical decisions made by the most senior managers. Impossible due dates and timelines imposed on an undersized, overworked staff by managers who have no concept of the time required to design and build the products which they sell. Sales is allowed to rule the production process without regard for engineering or shop capacity; a very small percentage of the sales staff actually makes an effort to consult with engineering and the shop prior to selling equipment. Upper level managers have no regard for work/life balance no matter how overloaded the staff is. Upper level managers do their best to ignore employee concerns regarding ethical behavior (or lack thereof) at the company.

Pros

One of very few places in the area that work with this kind of heavy duty equipment. Lots of variety in contracts and good amount of work to be done. International business is interesting if you work in the office. There is a good amount of travel. There are a number of great hardworking personalities within the company.

Cons

If you work here for any amount of time, you will experience poor management performance at the upper levels in the office. Employees with tenure act with impunity. There are a number of people in high level positions with very little aptitude for how the company functions outside of their department. The combination of this and the lack of consequence means that many employees down the line are affected with impossible deadlines, held to fulfill false promises, and meet impossible goals. This has been consistently happening for the past few years . The turnover here is extremely high as a result.

Pros

Small company, everyone knows everyone.

Cons

where do i even start... THE PAY IS TERRIBLE. This company fires people left and right around here. there is no company appreciation. terrible raises, no Christmas party, each day is a grey dull stale replica of the days before. The CEO and others stepped down for unethical practices. they play favoritism. tight room for growth within the company. No heat in the shops. they make you work weekends mostly all the time.
