Pros

Pro's depend on who your supervisor is. Benefits package looks great (flexible, pto, remote work) however not all supervisors are made equal and some may not let you enjoy these. That's the drawback of unlimited, nothing is guaranteed. Most people you work with are pleasant and helpful people. Office is cleaned and fully stocked with goodies.

Cons

Few bad eggs in upper management who abuse their "power" and exert their will over you for personal issues that should not be allowed to enter and poison the work place. HR is pretty much non existent for employee welfare besides accounting and payroll issues. So good luck if you're facing workplace issues such as bullying tactics and hostility, there will be no one for you to go to even if they witness and disagree with the behavior. Upper management and Executives are all family/ best buds and if you're not apart of that clique they make it known that you don't matter. Most people hired there are either friends and/or family of someone who already works there and likely under qualified.

As Elligo continues to grow, we are always looking to improve and appreciate any feedback. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything less than great. We can assure you that our employees mean everything to us and we are constantly seeking to nurture a culture of growth, progression and equal opportunity as Elligo continues to develop. In terms of any issues that may have occurred with management, HR has an open-door policy and any workplace issues are taken very seriously if chosen to be communicated with the department. We like to think of Elligo as one big family and are proud of the close-knit environment, and we will continue to hire the best people to contribute to that, whether we know them or not. We wish you the best in your future endeavors!

Pros

Unlimited Time off Technology driven

Cons

Where do I start? - Employees are let go “layoffs are often, almost quarterly” and everyone is up for grabs no matter how high your utilization is. It’s a popularity contest in their eyes. - For a company that loves to say “we’re all Elligonians.” They truly could care less about any person working there. They treat employees like a number and only care about their bottom line. There are NO LEADERS here, only middle line managers that delegate instead of building the best for the company. It’s sad because you can tell the managers are not happy either but they under so much pressure they tend to place that on the teams. - For a health company, forward focusing on betterment for society. Their health insurance is horrible, though it does seem they understand this and are trying to correct this coming year. - pay is not standard for the industry. There is a high workload and pay should match this.

Pros

- Good benefits package and the company works to increase those benefits - Amazing office for headquarters with fully stocked staff kitchen - Start-up atmosphere allows for growth and quick implementation of new ideas - Bonuses available for high achievers - Work from home & maintain your own schedule outside of "core hours" Elligo wants to disrupt the current clinical research set up and has a lot of motivation and smart people on its side. Every employee has an opportunity to speak up about possible improvements and if you're driven and willing to accept the wild nature of a start-up, you can go places here!

Cons

- Employees outside of Austin are not guaranteed a decent place to work (crammed into closets, etc.) - Communication problems due to remote company set up - Poor management hierarchy - upper management is too far removed from the daily work being completed at the site level leading to unrealistic expectations - Poor resourcing and miscalculated forecasting - Bonuses are unattainable for some staff due to restrictions outside of their control This company is quick to hire people and then quick to fire them too. Turnover is high due to a combination of poor onboarding, a lack of support, and unrealistic expectations. Employees can be saddled with unreasonable workloads and when mistakes are made, they are given little recourse to make corrections or learn and develop. Management seems more willing to fire someone over an issue rather than invest and develop their staff. The start-up mentality allows this company to move quickly, but sometimes they don't think things through and lower level employees feel the pain of these quick decisions. Even though it's an exciting company to work for, I would not recommend this company due to a lack of stability and a quick-to-blame culture.
