Emberex itself is phenomenal. The owners and managers are the best people you can find. They highly emphasize team cohesion and the atmosphere alongside technical expertise. There is company sponsored outings, lunches and a stock of snacks for all to enjoy. Peer code reviews and an emphasis on modern technology when they can make the work as enjoyable as possible.
Cons
Emberex lives at the whim of its major contract. Everything from the technologies used to the day to day development strategies and agile workflow are dictated by the contract. This company is difficult to work with especially during the frequent team fluctuations they experience. If Emberex had free reign to do as it pleased, it would be the best place to work in Eugene. Emberex itself has gone through some growing pains as well which put a lot of pressure on the small management staff.
