I worked at Emerald Performance full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Challenging (yet interesting) international work environment Above average pay Loyal and knowledgeble Private Equity owner

    Cons

Cultural differences between US, UK & NL not understood, nor managed. US views are often leading, differing views allowed but not listened to. Hardly any career possibilities outside US. Fragmented market approach due to little cohesion between product lines. Management has difficulty handling set backs, first response is cost cutting and workforce reduction.

    Pros

Competitive field means new challenges all of the time. Surrounded by smart, qualified people in a beautiful part of the country.

    Cons

The operations side runs lean and there isn't much spare capacity in the manpower area to handle anything beyond the routine.

Owned by a PE firm so constantly being bought and sold and downsized. Communication within the organization leaves something to be desired and there is significant brain drain with all of the turnover.
