Pros

Company is lead by management, who works here for 10+ years (mainly from business development function) Pros of this: - No pressure to meet the deadlines - Nice and very friendly atmosphere - Fully remote work with different payout options

Cons

Cons: - Lots of chilling employees being happy to become number 1 on Russian market with nearly no effort (after b.com and airbnb left it in 2022) - Lack of professionalism among head of departments, most of which never worked in any other company in their life and were never taught how their role should be performed - Lack of strategy and prioritisation. The approach to prioritisation is like "Lets try to do everything, something will be successful" - No performance reviews. No feedback culture. Personalised approach to promotions and salary increase.

Micro Management Overload

Pros

Some genuinely nice people work for the company. Many are extremely helpful, considerate and collaborative. Salary is competitive Some good tech

Cons

So many layers of 'management' but a lack of genuine leadership borne probably from appointing/promoting inexperienced people. Micro management at every step - possibly as the culture is derived from it's Russian roots and ownership. Lack of trust and empowerment. High staff turnover and a fairly toxic environment - possibly not everywhere, but this phrase is often used even on company wide calls with the CEO So may service issues and complaints each day that are rarely dealt with in a satisfactory manner.

Pros

As you have absolutely no guidance or help from your manager, you quickly learn how to be independent.

Cons

Though company is international now, all the management is still Russian with Russian attitude towards business and people. Very toxic, disrespectful, all they do is just demand more and more, while they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Pushy, greedy and arrogant. HR department is a joke. No review process. Raises are given randomly, when you ask for one, you never know if they will reply in two weeks or four months. And of course for good work you are rewarded with more work. And when you have more responsibilities and start managing people, they say you don’t deserve a raise, as you still do the same amount of job and your reports are just helping you and even make your life easier.

Last year we established teams responsible for implementing performance management, analyzing benefits and perks, and developing a new approach to managing them, as well as for implementing a transparent process for compensation management.
