Pros

Everyone appears friendly, hours are somewhat flexible, and their locations are beautiful.

Cons

Everyone may appear friendly, but they are truly out to stab you in the back the first chance they get. Especially those in human resources. The positive reviews you see on here were likely written by the staff in HR to increase their rating. It's unfortunate, but true. Since the new CEO has taken over, this company is no longer about the people, rather they are all about the money. There is no such thing as a work/life balance. You are expected to work insane amounts of hours for the below market value pay you receive. Just when you think you're getting help, they let terminate someone else and you're back at square one. Don't bother complaining to management, they do not care. Though, they will pretend to care! You'll walk away feeling like they are going to do something only to find out that nothing is done and ultimately your complaint put your job at risk.

Pros

The field staff are fantastic, knowledgeable and team oriented. Color team office staff are fantastic. Doctors are amazing! Salary is pretty good, benefits are pretty good. Respected company in the community. Making a difference in so many lives at the worst time of their lives is very rewarding. So many wonderful things about working for this company.

Cons

Staff retention of nurses is horrific. The On Call is usually the decider to leave, along with increased caseloads, which leads to hours and hours of charting on your own time.

Thank you for your insight. Your dedication to our mission is clear and deeply appreciated. On-call is being restructured based on employee experience survey feedback, so those who take direct care of our community can have more time for self-care. Regarding your advice to management, Empath Health‘s commitment to being a culture of safety means bullying is not acceptable. Please do reach out to the HR team or our confidential employee feedback line with any concerns. Again, thank you for all you do to provide life-changing care!

Pros

Benefits are not too bad, and they give you extra $ if you do their fitbit program to your HSA.

Cons

They blame you for things you did not do without talking to you. They support their office staff. Nurses are expected to do back bends, and chart after hours (Nurses are salary) to meet the patient's needs as they are understaffed as everyone is hired and leaving. If you get hurt and need to do the physical (which is crazy hard and you will hurt for days later), and are unable to pass it nurses have been let go since there are no jobs for them at that time. You are on backup call for only $1.50 and hour and if you worked all day and on call all night you could be out all night plus need to work again the next day. It is not safe!!!!!!!! The new Season's is coming into Pinellas county and I am sure many of the staff will leave and go to the new hospice!
