Pros
Company knows why it exists (to support East Kent Hospitals), is focused on customer service and patient care, focusing on service excellence and value for money (as a subsidiary of a NHS Trust). Vast majority of staff are emotionally invested in their work, and a lot have many years NHS/ healthcare experience - you can learn a lot very quickly, and there are opportunities to progress. Workforce is relatively stable, job security is good.
Cons
Front line roles and site support services require on-site working (due to the nature of providing in-person services). Working in healthcare often requires emotional resilience and a laser focus on service delivery. Many roles are physically demanding (on feet all day). 2gether contracts of employment are not NHS Agenda For Change contracts (e.g. no NHS pension).
