Pros

- The people at 3box are brilliant, kind, and thoughtful. As a group, we genuinely enjoy working together and learning from one another, which is rare in a startup. Our times together are incredibly fun and our remote work is highly collaborative. - For being a startup we have a lot of organizational processes and policies that are well thought out. Compared to startups without any guidelines, it feels like we're more grown than other companies at this stage. The way 3box is organized gives me more confidence in its ability to succeed in what's become a terrible tech market.

Cons

- Building in the web3 space is incredibly hard. It's not as simple as "Uber for X". With so much we could do it can be hard for us as a team to truly focus and double down on what works. We need to work on containing the sprawl and could do a better job focusing on what really matters. - At times we over-engineer our processes and they feel a little too heavy for our small company. We could work on bringing in some scrappy, fast-paced initiatives to better utilize our more agile size.

Pros

The team is intelligent, thoughtful, and humble. The culture around "working in the open" and sharing our mistakes and what we learn from them is real and intentional. There is a ton of potential and opportunities for growth and ownership. The team processes strike a good balance between flexible and standard, and we adapt as we lean too far either direction. Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and there's an emphasis on collaboration and consensus.

Cons

There is an on call rotation. Pretty standard to me, but not everyone is used to it. We try to balance on call and deadlines, but certain people are pulled in more frequently and at a higher risk of burn out. The cons are mostly around web3. It's a new space that can be frustrating. There isn't always an existing solution or clear answer but there is a ton of opportunity as a result. It requires more flexibility/adaptability and a willingness to explore than some industries.
