Pros
Great place to work to get experience in the event and development industry. There is something to be said about creating a vibrant urban core and serving the community with loads of free events that are loved by all. It is definitely a resume booster and locals constantly voice their appreciation for what they do.
Cons
Overall morale is an issue. With this kind of company doing so many diverse jobs, you would think the culture would be fun, exciting, positive and motivating, but it's somewhat the opposite. There is so much workload stress, unclear expectations and lack of recognition for achievements.
Pay can be an issue depending on the position. The amount of time that is needed to do the job is not reflected in pay. There are many tasks that are expected of you that is outside of your job description and not reflected in pay. If you take on the responsibilities of someone who has left the company, it is not reflected in pay. This closes the loop and we are back to low morale and low productivity.
