Pros

Work from home and on-the-job training, good benefits (100% covered healthcare, vision, and dental), lots of opportunities to talk and learn from experts in their industries (horses, tech, financial) which I wouldn't get outside my normal social circle

Cons

Sometimes its hard to get to know people online working from home. Things that I never excepted such as the sound quality or video quality isn't great during conferences so people sound different and more distorted that they should. I think it also makes it difficult to make friends at the workplace since most discussions and meetings are always focused on the work... not a lot of room for personal chat Company uses only Chrome / linux and no windows - so there is a bit of a learning curve there from the start. Also lots of people from different timezones so its hard to get coordinated well

Pros

3Rein is an excellent, and 100% remote, startup headquarted in Oregon. I've worked here since August, and have only good things to say about the business environment and my coworkers. Some of the biggest pros of working at 3Rein, in my experience, have been: * Completely remote work -- no commute! * Meetings are kept to a minimum and focus on important tasks, but there are also opportunities to connect with coworkers through remote team-building activities (and, when travel picks back up in-person events). * The company is small, so you can get to know everyone if you try. * The CEO and founders are all very nice people, and easy to provide feedback to. * Quarterly reviews allow employees to take note of the areas they've shown improvement in, as well as the areas they can work to improve, and give them an open space to suggest improvements the company can make internally. * Again, because the team is small, there's opportunity to work in a variety of departments and assist with projects big and small (this is, perhaps, less the case for employees on the dev team, who often focus on larger-scale deliverables). This is especially great for interns, as it has allowed me to gain experience in multiple areas of business. * I feel like my voice is heard here, even though I am an intern and new to the industry. *Finally, the company rewards innovation and attentiveness. Keeping an eye out for bugs and taking initiative are seen as positive qualities at 3Rein.

Cons

It's hard for me to think of cons, but if remote work isn't your favorite thing, it may be difficult to connect with coworkers at a 100% remote company.

Pros

After joining I quickly realized that company culture is important to 3Rein. As an employee, if I have an idea or question, it is welcomed. There is a push for each employee to contribute to the best of their abilities and to always progress in their skill set. When a project is presented, all voices and opinions are welcome and taken into consideration. Because 3Rein is a remote company, I am able to have the flexibility I need in my life while raising a family to have a job that pushes me and be a mom. I enjoy a fast pace environment to always be doing something different and 3Rein offers this to me.

Cons

As a start up there are still come procedures and areas of operation that could use some improvement but from what I have seen is there is a constant desire to make things better improve where they are lacking. Change is a constant at 3Rein so if someone is looking to have the same tasks and repetitive days, 3Rein probably will not be the best fit.
