Pros

TGS 4C Offshore is a fantastic company to work for, offering a variety of perks and benefits that make employees feel valued and supported. The company has a strong team culture, with frequent team-building activities and social events that create a family-like atmosphere, even though 4C Offshore now enjoys the resources of a larger corporation thanks to its backing by TGS. Employees appreciate a flexible work-life balance, with the option to work remotely one day a week, and the new office in Norwich based on individual needs. Career growth opportunities are readily available with access to great training, and management is open to new ideas, allowing team members to shape projects and make an impact. The team itself is diverse, with young professionals working alongside experienced members in the offshore wind sector, enabling mentorship and a collaborative spirit. With over 15 years of experience, 4C Offshore is well-regarded in the industry, and for those interested, there are plenty of chances to travel and represent the company at events. Overall, 4C Offshore is a rewarding place to work, with plenty of potential for continued growth and improvement.

Cons

The main office is in Lowestoft, which can feel a little remote, especially for those new to the Suffolk area. Additionally, teams sometimes feel segmented based on personality types and roles, which can limit interdepartmental communication and understanding. The recent acquisition by TGS means the company is currently in a transition phase, which brings both exciting new opportunities and adjustments that require flexibility from employees.

Pros

Travel and conference attendance, constant learning and self-improvement, decent starting pay for graduates/early career individuals outside of London, lots of opportunities for growth and creating a name in the industry, great coworkers and social events (Christmas party, lunchtime pilates, occasional free lunches, etc.)

Cons

Long commute (2 to 2.5h/day) for those living in Norwich (closest city), 9-5 in the office 4 days a week, unbalanced spread of work within the team, interdepartmental tension, blame/criticism for missing deadlines when there is too much work.
